The Institute of Biotechnology
Founded in 1982 on UNAM's Cuernavaca campus, the IBt is one of the longest-standing biotechnology research centres in Latin America. Its community works on cell engineering, molecular biology, bioprocessing, molecular medicine and plant biotechnology.
Getting there
Cuernavaca is a little over an hour by road from Mexico City. Direct and frequent coaches run from the Taxqueña and Sur terminals and from Mexico City International Airport (AICM). The campus is in Chamilpa, in the north of the city.
Lodging
Cuernavaca has hotels across a wide price range, most of them 15–25 minutes from campus. A list of hotels with preferential rates for attendees will be published as agreements are confirmed.
